Chipotle’s new Columbus office officially opens this week.
“Our employees have been craving the camaraderie that comes with being in the office,” said Marissa Andrada, Chipotle’s chief diversity, inclusion and people officer.
Andrada said locating in the Arena District was important because of the amenities within walking distance of the Neil Avenue office, like the North Market. The various sporting arenas and happy hour spots will allow Chipotle employees to get out into the community.
The 500 Neil Ave. building, which was once a gravel lot, serves as the gateway to the Arena District, and kicked off a $210 million expansion of the Nationwide Realty Investors’ development.
“We’re thrilled with how the building turned out,” Brian Ellis, president and chief operation officer of Nationwide Realty Investors, previously told Business First. “It’s an iconic building on the north edge. It completes that segment of the Arena District in a very visible way.”
Nationwide Realty Investors has been developing the area for years and has invested more than a billion dollars in the Arena District.
