Moving into the Flats II apartments will cost tenants a shade under $1,000 or $2,000 a month for one of the 120 units opening by the end of the year.
Arena District developer Nationwide Realty Investors Ltd. this week started marketing the five-story Flats II complex now well under construction west of Nationwide Arena with the release of rental rates. It said a 610-square-foot, one-bedroom apartment will cost $995 while a 1,290-square-foot, two-bedroom unit will top out at $1,995 a month.
The largest one-bedroom apartment at Flats II will offer 880 square feet of living area while the smallest two-bedroom will have 1,050 square feet.
“We think that’s pretty comparable to what we already have in the Arena District,” Nationwide Realty President Brian Ellis told me. “We think our locations are exemplary and (are) where people want to be.”
The developer also owns and manages the Flats on Vine property at Neil Avenue and Vine Street and the Arena Crossing apartments at Vine and North Front Street. Occupancies in those complexes are in the high 90-percent range with just a handful of unoccupied units, while the Apartments at Grandview Yard complex to the west are fully occupied.
